Doris served as a Girl Scout and 4-H Leader, Sunday School Teacher and was a member of the choir at St. Thomas Lutheran Church. She was also involved in the Northland Players group. She enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Lions. Doris never missed a game that was televised. Doris also loved watching her grandchildren participate in baseball, girls softball and basketball.

Doris is survived by her husband, Elden and four children: Suann (Kirk) Jewell of Edwardsburg, William (Linda) Braley of Cheboygan, Marla (Matt) Mora and James (Sueann) Braley of Gaylord.
