Charles A. Bradley, 75 of Gaylord, passed away Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at home surrounded by his family. Born on January 28, 1944, he was the son of Archie and Mary (Lozen) Bradley.
In 1962, Charlie graduated from Gaylord High School. Upon graduation, he proudly served his country in the United States Army. On April 29, 1967, he married the love of his life, Cheryl. They created and lived a wonderful life for many years, raising four children together. Charlie worked as a Block Mason, owning and operating his own company for many years while being a mentor and teacher for many young masons. He had a true talent and niche for the art of masonry. A simple hobby of gardening strawberries turned into a local business in Gaylord as years passed. The strawberry patch became well-known where people could enjoy picking delicious berries on Coppins Road. He enjoyed meeting people, having conversations and being outside on those warm summer days. He took pride and enjoyment in his crops. He was involved in the Masonic Lodge as a 32nd degree Mason, where he enjoyed the comradery and friendships.
He is survived by three children, Robert Bradley, Krista Bradley and Shannon Bradley Alexander all of Gaylord; special grandchildren, Caleb Bradley, Terri Cavender, Alexis Alexander and Hayli Bradley; sisters, Rosemarie Tebbe and Suzanne Leemon; sons-in-law, Trevor Alexander and Rick Cavender; dear family friends, Leo and Sheryl Cody.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl in 2013; son, Anthony in 2011; a brother, Robert Neil Bradley and a sister, Joan Mclain.
A celebration of life gathering will take place 2:00 PM Sunday, January 26, 2020 at the Gaylord Eagles Hall.
