Felix V. Renkiewicz

March 6, 1944 ~ July 1, 2019 (age 75)

Felix V. Renkiewicz, 75 of Gaylord, passed away on Monday, July 1, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.

Born in Grayling on March 6, 1944, he was the son of Anthony F. and Stella E. (Sulex) Renkiewicz.  Felix grew up on the family farm in Gaylord and graduated from St. Mary High School.

The hard work of a farmer was a part of him for much of his life.  That strong work ethic served him well later too when he became a licensed builder.  He loved to build and remodel; it was a passion that led him to expand and extensively remodel his Bradford Lake home and several others.

Throughout his life, Felix was an avid hunter.  He enjoyed woodworking, finding joy in making treasures for his children and grandchildren.  Any activity that involved spending time with his family was important to him, he especially enjoyed family boat rides on the lake.  He also enjoyed the trips he and Connie took together, polka dancing, snowmobiling and spending time with his dogs, Ozzy and Lola. He took great pride in having 5 daughters and enjoyed life with his loving wife. His dry sense of humor, quick wit and prankster ways will be missed.

On March 11, 2005 Felix married Connie (Rahn) Boynton.  In addition to Connie; he is survived by his daughters, Gina (Rob) DeForge of Gaylord, Michele (Dave) O’Brien of Gaines, Rene (Andy) Ames of Gaylord, Bridget (Dan) Boynton of Gaylord and Maria (Andy) Dubie of Gaylord; a stepson, Keith (Sandra) Boynton of Lewiston; grandchildren, Landen, Lucas, Brad, Alexis, Isabella, Davis, Olivia, Grant, Kate, Megan, Chelsea, Levi, Brett, Chloe, Brady, Ryan and Kylee; great grandchildren, Nathan, Landen and Elizabeth with a fourth on the way; and several nieces and nephews and his daughter’s mother, Joan Dowker King.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Kimberly; brothers, Tony and Steve Renkiewicz; and his twin sister, Felicia Koscielniak.

In keeping with his wishes, Felix’s family will remember him privately.
