Alice Joyce Tennant

Alice Joyce Tennant, 89 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2021 at Medilodge of Gaylord.

Born on June 7, 1931 in Onaway, she was the daughter of Keith and Irene Stoner.  She grew up in Onaway where she attended Onaway Schools.

Alice married William Tennant April 4, 1947.  They remained married until his death on January 10, 1988.  She worked with him in their logging company,

Alice was one of Jehovah’s Witnesses for most of her life.

She was a busy wife and mom who was devoted to her husband and to raising her five boys.  In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crocheting, painting and needlework.

In addition to her husband, Alice was also preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Bill and Keith, sons, Leslie and Mark and 3 grandchildren

Surviving are her sons, Larry Tennant of Rogers City, Bid (Terri) Tennant of Gaylord and Michael (Teri) Tennant of Delta, CO; grandchildren, Harold, Leslie Jr, Larry Jr, Matthew, Victoria, Doris, Billie, Lydia, Amanda, Hugh, Leighann, Tyler and K.C.; and 40 great grandchildren.

Due to COVID 19 and current gathering restrictions, arrangements for a memorial service on Zoom are pending.  Interment will take place in the spring at Hillcrest Cemetery in Onaway.
