Betty R. Caswell, 91 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, May 26, 2019 at Aspen Ridge Retirement Village.  Born in Rochester on July 29, 1927, she was the daughter of Ralph and Ruth (Williams) Coons.

Betty graduated from Rochester High School. She resided in Livonia for many years while working at the Royal Oak Water Authority in Accounts Receivable. She moved to South Amboy, NJ and then to Holiday, FL in 1972. In Florida, she worked at Barnett Bank, now known as Bank of America as a financial advisor. She enjoyed volunteering her time with the VFW serving lunches to Veterans. She was a member of the Red Hat Society where she met many special friends. She loved animals, especially her dogs and cats. She enjoyed knitting and spending time with her niece, Ruth and many friends.

She is survived by her nieces, Ruth Coons of Gaylord and Mary Wallis of Milford; step grandson, Greg (Lanice) Gillard; step granddaughter, Kelly (Jay) Golden; great nephews, Olen (Jessica) Henke and Tim (Diane) Wallis; great nieces, Kathryn (Brian) Jeffers, Meg (Eric) Braun and Miki (Allen) Arroyo; great grandsons, Callahan , Jackson and Trey; great-granddaughter, Bailee; great-great nephews, River and Holden.

She was preceded by her parents; her husband, Alfred Caswell in 2002; her brother, Wayne Coons in 2003 and step-son, Edward Gillard.
