Brittany June Poirier, 22 of Vanderbilt, passed away unexpectedly, the result of an automobile accident, on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, her 22nd birthday.
She was born on September 16, 1998 in Gaylord, the daughter of Vence and Tresha (Smith) Poirier and was a lifelong Vanderbilt resident.
Brittany worked at Denali Healthcare in Gaylord. She loved the outdoors and especially enjoyed spending her free time hunting, fishing and mud bogging.
Brittany is survived by her two sons, Axel Gray and Zayden Poirier both of Vanderbilt; her mom, Tresha (Peter Hector) Smith of Vanderbilt and her dad, Vence Poirier both of Vanderbilt; her grandparents, Linda (Steve) Schmidt of Wisconsin and Richard and Evonne Ormsbee of Vanderbilt; sisters, Courtney Ripley and Dorenda Klintworth; aunts, Julie (Chris) Lendvoy and Victoria (Ryan) Hinkle; uncles, Dan (Rachel) Holmes, Robert Holmes, Virgil Poirier and Daniel Poirier and her many extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Carl and Joe Ann Smith and Virgil Poirier Sr; and an uncle, Lucas Poirier.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Vanderbilt. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to her family through a GoFundMe page that has been established.
