Pauline L. Prusakiewicz, 93 of Gaylord, passed away on Monday, October 18, 2021 at McReynolds Hall. Born in Elmira on July 30, 1928, she was the daughter of Walter and Rose (Kwapis) Puroll.

Pauline was raised on a farm in Elmira. She was a parishioner at St. Mary Cathedral since the 1943. For many years, she worked as a press operator at Mayfair Plastics in Gaylord. In her spare time, she enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crocheting, painting and embroidery.

She is survived by her husband, Chester Prusakiewicz; children, Irene Kinkle of Calumet, Gladys (Jim) Krys of Saginaw and Steve Smolarz of Gaylord; several loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; brothers, Don (Sally) Puroll of Elmira; Chet Puroll of Bellaire and Leonard (Pam) Puroll of Boyne Falls; sisters, Dorothy Woskoski of Vanderbilt, Pat West of Boyne Falls and Tillie Jaroneski of Elmira; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Walter Smolarz; her brothers, Vinny and Walter Puroll and her sister, Anastasia Stark.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Monday, October 25, 2021 at St. Mary Cathedral where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM until the time of mass. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery where Pauline will be buried next to her first husband, Walter Smolarz.
