Wilma May Pederson, 75, of Rockford and formerly of Vanderbilt, passed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, November 18, 2020 at Spectrum Butterworth, Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids.

Born in Mancelona, Michigan on November 3, 1945, she was the daughter of Wilbur and Ruth (Dean) Taylor.  She grew up in Alba, Michigan and graduated from Alba High School.  Wilma continued her education with one year of Licensed Practical Nurse training.

On December 10, 1966, she married Brice A. Pederson at Alba United Methodist Church in Alba.  They enjoyed a wonderful life together.  He preceded her in death on November 12, 2018 after 52 years of marriage.

Wilma worked for several years as a Licensed Practical Nurse.  After the birth of their daughter, Sandy, Wilma was a stay-at-home Mom for several years, later going back to work as a library clerk, township clerk and secretary.

She attended Vanderbilt Community Church and later Gaylord First United Methodist, and most recently Rockford United Methodist Church..

In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her family, writing hand-written notes and cards to her family and friends and keeping in touch with them through phone calls. She also enjoyed reading and crossword puzzles.

Wilma will be remembered for her loving heart, her kindness, thoughtfulness, her devotion to her family, and her love of the Lord

Surviving is her daughter, Sandy (Ron) Radunzel of Rockford; a grandson, Matthew Radunzel of Kalamazoo; a granddaughter, Emily Radunzel of Rockford; a sister, Jeanne (Charles) Newberry of Elk Rapids; a brother, Charles (Maggie) Taylor of Harrison; sisters-in-law, Alice Rogers of Traverse City, Jean (Mike) Rust of Phoenix, AZ and Carol Pederson of Springfield, OH, a brother-in-law, Marvin (Betty) Pederson of Rapid City and many special nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and her husband, Brice, Wilma was preceded in death by brothers-in-law, Jay Rogers, Lowell Pederson and Larry Pederson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, May 15, 2021 at the Gaylord First United Methodist Church where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM.
