Angela Dawn Perry

Angela Dawn Perry, 51 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City.

Born on December 9, 1970, in Cadillac, she was the daughter of Gregory J. and Mary Ellen (Marshall) Streff.  Angela grew up in Cadillac where she graduated from high school in 1989.

Following high school, she was trained as a hairdresser and cosmetologist in Cadillac.  Angela enjoyed her career of more than 30 years as a hairdresser in Gaylord at Diane’s Carousel and Blair Haus of Hair before opening her own business, Ang’s Hair Hut on North Center Avenue.  She loved her job and enjoyed the personal relationships she had with her many customers.

In her spare time, Angela enjoyed reading, traveling, and shopping.  She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandson, Kolton. 

Angela is survived by her husband, Timothy Perry; they were married on July 31, 1997.  Also surviving is her daughter, Anna Perry of Gaylord, grandson, Kolton Johnson of Gaylord; her father, Gregory Streff of Cadillac; her sister, Christina Streff of Grand Rapids and her niece, Ava Streff.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, October 14, 2022, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, with visitation starting at noon.  Please share your memories and personal messages with the family on Angela’s guestbook, below.
