Arlene B. Koscielniak, 82 of Vanderbilt, passed away on Sunday, February 14, 2021 at home. Arlene was born in Gaylord on April 28, 1938 to Paul and Freda (Wingo) Hart.
In 1956, Arlene graduated from Gaylord High School. She then married Joseph and had they had three children. Arlene was the glue that raised her children once her husband passed away. Throughout her life, she enjoyed being in the restaurant industry. She worked at Toot & Tell Drive, The Chatter Box and then for many years, at BJ’s Restaurant. She also owned and operated a Daycare for a number of years. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by three children, Cathy (Myke) Sherman of Boyne Falls, Kevin Koscielniak of Tallahassee, FL and Ken (Penny) Koscielniak of Vanderbilt; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Shirley Kopcak and Alice Yeoman and her sister-in-law, Helen Hart.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph in 1967; her parents, Paul and Freda Hart; two brothers, Russell and Eugene Hart and a sister, Betty Ciszewski.
