Brian D. Eden

Brian D. Eden, 63, passed away peacefully on 8/25/26 after a long and hard fought battle with cardiac disease.

He was born on New Year's Day, 1963, in Lansing, MI to Doug and Patricia (Davis) Eden. He was raised in Escanaba, MI and was a 1981 graduate of the first class of James R Fitzharris Alternative High School and was also a graduate of Bay College.

He was a machinist by trade and worked for many years at Michigan Instruments in Grand Rapids and later worked as a machinist for firms in California. He retired in 2018, and eventually returned to Michigan, settling in Cheboygan.

He was a voracious reader, sci-fi movie buff, animal lover, live music enthusiast and enjoyed being in nature. He had a keen eye for detail and leaves behind wonderful charcoal sketches and many still photography images. He was known for greeting everyone with his friendly moniker, "Hey, how's it going?" He was deeply loved by all that knew him.

He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother, Don Eden and brother in-law, Mike Hans. He is survived by siblings, Shawn (Scott) Wyzlic, Patrick (Traci) Eden, Jen Hans, and Beth (Jay) Neumann. He was a favorite uncle to Rachel Newhouse, Jake (Becky) Newhouse, Aaron (Shelby) Newhouse, Justin Newhouse, Vince Papineau, Tory Eden, Kevin (Rina) Eden, Brandon (Sydney) Eden, Steve Eden, Kaylynn (Ben) Larsen, Ashley (Josh) Hans, Tom Neumann.

If you knew Brian, his quiet, thoughtful, kind and unassuming nature it would come as no surprise that he didn't want a funeral service. Instead, he asked that people take an hour and spend it doing good and giving back.
