Bryce Duane Dennis

Bryce D. Dennis, 72, died July 16, 2025. He was born in 1952 to Bryce and Ruth (Hankins) Dennis. After graduation, Bryce spent much of the 70’s in Detroit before returning to Petoskey to join his father and brother in Dennis Masonry. He found his passion for stonework and went on to create beautiful masterpieces in Bay Harbor and in homes and businesses throughout Northern Michigan.

Bryce was a gifted musician and singer, described as “phenomenal on a drum set”. Music and drumming were his greatest joys.

Bryce is survived by his sister, Sandy Mathews, and her family. He leaves behind many special friends, fellow musicians and band members. He was a good friend to many, always willing to lend a hand or share anything he had, including his opinion. He marched to the beat of his own drum. He had a lot of fun and made great friends and memories along the way.

Bryce was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Doug Dennis.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests you purchase for yourself or for someone you love a new album in Bryce’s memory.

According to Bryce’s wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned.
