Craig Louis Adaline: A Life in Full Song

Craig Louis Adaline didn't simply live his 74 years; he played them with the soul of a musician and the grit of a Spartan. On February 28, 2026, Craig laid down his final chord in Harbor Springs, Michigan, leaving behind a legacy as vibrant as one of his acoustic guitar solos.

Born in Detroit on February 18, 1952, Craig was a man of all seasons. In the winter, you'd find him cutting fresh tracks down the slopes of Boyne Highlands; in the summer, he rode his bike for miles along northern Michigan back roads and teed off at area golf courses with his children. And in every season, he picked up his guitar and worked his true magic. Whether he was performing original compositions or leading a family sing-along, Craig's voice was the heartbeat of special events and family gatherings.

A true "Detroit Original," Craig's loyalty was legendary. He lived and breathed the Lions, Pistons, Red Wings, and Tigers, and held a lifelong place in the Michigan State Spartan Alumni Fan Club. Even as he navigated a series of health challenges, Craig met the future with unwavering vigor and courage. Through it all, his faith in God and love for his family stood firm.

Craig leaves behind his devoted wife, Michelle, and his son, Kevin. His memory will be kept alive by his siblings Mark, Eric, and Michele (Randy Sills); by his step-children Michael Bodo (Denise), Matthew Bodo (Kristine), Anne Marie Champagne, and Mark Bodo (Leslie); and by his nieces and nephews Larisa, Sterling, Matthew, and Trevor Adaline. His largest "audience" - his grandchildren Jonas, Hayden, Peyton, Matthew, Connor, Carly, and Brooke Bodo; Khalan Morel; Evie Champagne; and Cameron and Finley Peters - will forever remember their grandfather as a man who taught them to find their melody in life.

He joins his parents, Louis and Irene, and his brother Garrett in peace.

A celebration of Craig's remarkable life and music will be held at Holy childhood of Jesus Catholic Church, 150 W. Main Street, Harbor Springs, MI, 49740.  The family will receive friends and family starting at 10:00 AM until the start of service at 11:00 AM.  A luncheon will follow the Mass at the parish hall.
