Dana Michelle Litzner

Dana Michelle Litzner, 49 of Wolverine, passed away at home on Saturday, March 25, 2023.

Born in Cheboygan, Michigan on November 21, 1973, she was the daughter of Lyle and Sharon (Lasik) McCauley.  A lifelong area resident, Dana was a 1991 graduate of Wolverine High School.  She also attended Kirtland Community College.

Dana will be remembered in the Wolverine community for the many years she worked as a hairdresser.  More recently, she worked in housekeeping at the Terrace Inn in Petoskey. 

Dana enjoyed shopping, but rarely for herself.  She was a selfless person, always buying for, and doing for others.  She loved Christmas and all the activities of the season.  Dana also enjoyed traveling, preferably to warm, sunny climates.  She often enjoyed trips with her sisters and friends.

Dana is survived by her husband, Michael Litzner, whom she married in Cheboygan on October 13, 2006; and their sons, Wyatt McCauley and Luke Litzner, all of Wolverine.  Also surviving are her parents Lyle and Sharon (Lasik) McCauley of Wolverine; sisters, Casey Hayes of Alanson, Amy Langenburg of Wolverine and Mandy McCauley of Wolverine; brothers, Nate McCauley of Wolverine, and Scott McCauley of Roscommon; her grandmother, Lois McCauley of Oklahoma; nephews, Corbin and Cooper Ogden, Ryder, Logan and Mason McCauley, Reed Hayes, and Zadin Noeske; and nieces, Morgan, and Emily McCauley. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023, at 12:30 PM in the gymnasium at Wolverine High School, with a luncheon at the Elementary School cafeteria immediately following.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in her memory to her family.
