Danny Daniels, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 18, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on May 30, 1949, in Saginaw, Michigan, Danny lived a full life dedicated to his family and his passions
.Danny is survived by his devoted wife, Kristine Daniels, and their two daughters, Dawn (Harry) Colfer and Michelle (Jeff) Knight. He cherished his role as a grandfather to his beloved grandchildren: Danielle (Cameron) Boettcher, Ashley (Michael) Arthur, Molly (Steffin) Bader, and Justin Ledesma. He adored his four great-grandchildren Autumn, Lainey, Nora, and Will. He also left behind his sisters, Diana Daniels Pratt and Dorlene Nielson, and his brother Harry Del Daniels.
A proud veteran of the United States Marines, Danny enlisted on June 20, 1969, and served honorably during the Vietnam War, achieving the rank of Corporal before his discharge on June 18, 1971. He was presented with a National Defense Service Medal for his military service. His service instilled in him values of discipline, respect, and commitment, which he carried throughout his life.Danny enjoyed a successful career in the chemical manufacturing industry, working as a Site Shift Supervisor and Safety Manager for Dow Corning and MAP Mechanical, where he was respected for his dedication and expertise in his field.
While Danny was a man of strength, hard work and service, one of the most powerful parts of his life was his bold faith. In his later years, his relationship with Jesus became the defining core of who he was.Beyond his work life, Danny's passions lit up everything he touched. An avid hunter and fisherman, he cherished the moments spent in the great outdoors, often surrounded by loved ones and friends. His love for woodworking reflected his hands-on nature, as he found joy in creating beautiful pieces that would become treasured family heirlooms. He also enjoyed bowling and was known for his friendly competitive spirit. Danny took great pleasure in building many of his homes, pouring his heart into crafting spaces for family to create memories.Danny's life was filled with memorable moments that brought joy to those around him. He had a knack for storytelling, often captivating friends and family with tales from his life, whether they were about his time in the Marines or his adventures in hunting and fishing. His laughter was infectious, and his warmth made everyone feel welcome. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, laughter, and dedication to family will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
Danny was preceded in death by: Barbara Panas (mother), Harry Daniels (father), Barbie Morse (sister), Edward and Margaret Vanslambrouck (father and mother-in-law), Danny Vanslambrouck (brother-in-law).A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at Walloon Lake Community Church, 4320 M-75 N, Walloon Lake, MI 49796. The family will receive family and friends starting at 11:00 AM with the services starting at 12:00 PM. A luncheon will follow at the church.
