Dawn Marie Jamieson

Dawn Marie Jamieson, born on March 25, 1952, in Newberry, MI, passed away on March 14, 2026, at the age of 73. A dedicated nurse aide and medical biller, she spent many years caring for others at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital. Dawn had a passion for cooking, baking, and canning, skills she shared with family and friends gathered around her warm kitchen. She loved spending time picking blueberries, a joyful activity she continued until the age of 72.

For several years, Dawn served as the chairperson for bingo at the American Legion Post 74, where her vibrant spirit and laughter brought joy to the community. She will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she poured into everything she did. Dawn will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Dawn is survived by her loving family, including her sons, John (Polly Manning) and Robert Dewitt (Denise Yeadon); daughters, Rebecca Wheeler and Heather Flatt (Jonathan); sister, Jacqueline Alto (Ken); sister-in-law, Marsha Gooseberry; special friend, John Marsh and friend Cathy Egert. She cherished her grandchildren, Oren, Isabella, Riley, Derrick, Madelyn, and Nicholas, and took great pride in being a part of their lives. Dawn also leaves behind her beloved pets, both past and present, including King, Harley, Maggie, and Cinder, who welcomed her at the gates of heaven. Her current furry friends, Coco, Donut, Mimi, Poppy, and Rudy the cow, will miss her dearly.

Dawn was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Emma Gooseberry; brother, Robert Gooseberry, and good friend, Sharon Painter.
