Delores S. Haslip

Delores S. Haslip, 68 of Gaylord, passed away on Tuesday, July 2, 2024. Our Lord Jesus Christ took Dee to sit at the right hand of our heavenly Father's thrown for the suffering she endured here on earth. She was born December 5, 1955, in Tawas, MI. 

Delores left behind a very large family whom she loved very much. Dee leaves behind several loving brothers and sisters; Anna Audrain, Betty Wesanen, Margaret Fissette, Linda Kelly, Gloria Horn, Wanda-Haslip-Torrey (Dave Torrey), and Richard (Sue) Haslip; nieces and nephews; Kris Mesco, Angie Mikowski, Raymond V. Haslip, Tony Haslip, Jesse Haslip, Samantha Ison, Jeannie Kapanke, Beth Kapanke, Terry McDonnell, Jamie Lynch; and great nephew Nick Twigg; cousins John Perry, twins Denise Shannon, Diane Marsh, Darlene Freeman, Deanna Ruhling and George (Jill) McCarthy. 

Dee became disabled at a very young age. Despite her disabilities, she enjoyed life to the fullest. Dee loved to attend parties with friends and family. She loved to travel and see the beautiful lakes in Michigan, attend festivals, and National Parks. In her teens, Delores was a part of the Special Olympics in Mt Pleasant, where she won many awards. Later in life, she enjoyed her shopping, and her word search books, as well as attending the Workshop in Gaylord, Michigan, where she did activities while making friends with staff and attendees. 

She is preceded in death by her mother and father, Ray and Theresa Haslip; brother, Raymond Haslip, and his wife, Cindy Haslip; as well as their son, Rob Haslip.

Special gratitude goes to Dee's significant friend, Cathy Myszkier, and to the many kind, loving, good people in Dee's life. God's blessings to you all.

Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2024, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Funeral services will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Vanderbilt.
