Dennis Laur

Dennis Laur, 66 of Cheboygan, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Medilodge of Rogers City.

Born in Cheboygan on September 11, 1955, he was the son of William and Beatrice Laur.

Dennis worked over the years at Great Lakes Tissue, Spray’s Landscaping and the Cheboygan Do It Center.  He always kept busy as a “tinkerer” who could fix anything and described himself as “a jack of all trades, master of none”.  With a knack for fixing small engines, there was always work to do for family and friends.  He was also an avid hunter and fisherman.  In retirement, he looked forward to daily coffee with his friends at Spray’s Landscaping.

Surviving is Marjorie, his wife of more than 37 years; his children, Jackie (Matthew) and Adam both of Cheboygan; grandchildren, Nathan, Colby, Gavin and Alexis; a brother, Don; sisters, Cricket and Penny; and several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Sara; and sisters, Lynn and Dawn.

A celebration of life will take place from 1:00 to 4:00 PM Saturday, May 14, 2022 at Inverness Township Hall.
