Donna Marie Fisk

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Donna Marie Fisk on July 30, 2025, surrounded by her family. Donna was born on September 20, 1939, in Southfield, Michigan to Herbert and Lillian (Dahlin) Riddell.

Wonderful daughter to Herbert and Lillian. Loving mother to Ron (Kim), Kathleen (Ed), Melaine (Mike), Tina (Bob). Proud grandma to Jenny (Chris), Jennifer, Brandon, Jason, Alise, Bethany, Cody-Lynn, Brittany, and Taya-Marie. Amazing great grandma to Kennedy (Drew) and Aidan. A dear sister to Herbert, Susie, Doug (Marga ret), Carl, Grant (Marie), Karen (Tom), and Paul (Carol).

Donna was an avid quilter, having made over 50 quilts by hand in her lifetime, making sure each of her children had one.

She was an amazing cook and famous not only for her perogies but also her pasties. She could make anything, and it tasted wonderful. She always expressed her love through food when anyone was down, or she just wanted you to know someone cared. Something incredibly delicious would show up at your door with a note attached.

She was an amazing dancer, singer, scrabble, and rummy player. Her love for children was astonishing, leading to many at her door in tears and leaving them uplifted with a smile, feeling understood.

She had crafting and cooking classes in the summer to make sure everyone stayed out of trouble (a teacher at heart). Her generosity and kindness left lasting memories to anyone that met her.

She had a knack for feeling others pain and would go beyond all things to try to help ease their pain in any way she could. Through her generosity at Christmas time she gave to different charities, putting her grandchildren’s names on each donation. It was her way of teaching them the importance of helping others.

During not only COVID but throughout her lifetime she was always helping the needy, under privileged and elderly. She passed this trait on to the future generations. She loved to read the bible and write poetry.

Donna as a daughter, sister, mother, grandma, great grandma, and friend was a protecter and always made sure everyone she loved was safe. We gained the greatest guardian angel in heaven. We know she is watching and protecting all of us each day. We would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at August Haus and Hospice, where in a short while in “Donna style” she made bonds that will be forever remembered.

A celebration of  Donna's life will take place at Meadow Lake Clubhouse, 3951 Bentwood Cir W, White Lake, MI 48383 on Saturday, September 13, 2025 at 11:00am.

In honor of Donna’s generosity, the family would like to suggest donation to Wreaths Across America as her father, brothers and dear friends had served in several wars. She was very proud of them and the men and woman that risked and lost their lives to give us freedom. They lay to rest at Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly. It gave her great joy and peace to see that others honored them with thoughts of wreaths at Christmas. Tina is the sponsor/lead coordinator for the link provided. https://www.wreathsacrossamerica.org/pages/183101/Overview/?relatedId=16194
