Donna Jean Peters

Donna Jean Peters passed away peacefully in Gaylord, Michigan, on March 15, 2026.

Donna was born on April 10, 1950 in Munising, Michigan, to Russell and Marie Peters. She later relocated to Lewiston, Michigan, and eventually made Gaylord her long-time home, where she built a life filled with family, friendships, and cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Marie Peters; her siblings, Linda Meyers (Tony), Russell Peters Jr., and Patsy Peters (Dale); and her devoted partner of over 30 years, Wayne Kreger.

Donna is survived by her brothers, Ron Peters (Pat) of Washington, Michigan, and Kenneth Peters of Gainesville, Georgia. She was especially proud of her children, Eric Dickerson (Mandy) of Rockford, Michigan, Anne Smith (Neil) of Gaylord, Karen Dickerson of Petoskey, Michigan. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren: Tyler, Josie, and Noah Dickerson, Cody Smith and Andrew, Trevor, and Alex Ross.

Donna will be remembered for her hardworking spirit and her generous, kind, fun and loving nature. She found joy in life's simple pleasures-especially playing bingo whenever she had the chance-and she truly loved her trips to the casino, where she shared laughter and good times with those around her.

Her warmth, strength, and love for her family will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who knew her.
