November 18, 1955 - October 11, 2025

Donna S. Renaud, beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family.

Born and raised in Michigan, Donna married Dennis G. Renaud in Ecorse, MI, and together they raised their family in Indian River.

Donna spent many years as the General Manager at Wendy's in Petoskey, where she was known for her strong leadership, determination, and the care she showed her employees and customers. A reflection of how she lived her life, she led with both grit and heart.

Donna was a bit sassy, endlessly determined, and fiercely devoted to her family. Years ago, she beat small cell lung cancer through sheer will and courage. She faced her most recent cancer battle with that same grace and strength. Her final gift to her family was time - time to reminisce, to laugh, to cry, and to say all the things that needed to be said.

Donna received compassionate care from McLaren Hospice, whose support helped her and her family during her final days.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis G. Renaud, and their infant son, Christian Michael Renaud.

She is lovingly remembered by her children Denneen (Frank) Smith, Dennis E. Renaud (Angela Mitchell), and Sara (Thomas) Radle; her grandchildren Jacob Renaud, Makenna (Koedy) Dole, Connor (Kate) Smith, Chase Renaud, Avery Renaud, Delaney Smith, Ryder Smith, Josie Radle, Taryn Radle, Annabelle Renaud, and Allie Renaud; and her great-grandchildren Case Smith, June Dole, and Jett Smith.

Donna loved fiercely. Her strength and spirit will continue to shine through all who were lucky enough to know and love her.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Friendship Centers of Emmet County or to McLaren Hospice. The Friendship Centers provided invaluable support, food, and equipment to Donna and her family as she declined, and donations will help others benefit from the same services while honoring Donna's memory.

A celebration of life Mass will be held at Cross in the Woods, with the date and time to be determined.
