Elizabeth Ann "Lisa" Duczkowski

Elizabeth Ann “Lisa” Duczkowski, 75 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, July 2, 2023, at McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey.

Born on June 30, 1948, in Grayling, Lisa was the daughter of Ralph and Rose (Lozon) Wilkie.  She grew up in Gaylord and was a graduate of Gaylord High School.

A lifelong Gaylord resident, Lisa worked in her parent’s restaurant as well as other area restaurants as a waitress.  She also enjoyed providing in home childcare for several children over the years.

In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, playing cards, and her beloved dog, Bell.  Lisa was a friendly, sociable, outgoing person, who in recent years, enjoyed the many resident activities at Alpine Alten Zimmer.

Lisa was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Duczkowski on January 7, 2016.  They were married in Gaylord on July 18, 1981.

Surviving are her children, Melissa (Casey Holzschu) Wilkie of Gaylord, and Ralph Wilkie of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Lauren Wilkie, Reagan Wilkie, Aiden Wilkie and Nolan Wilkie; a sister, Marilyn Edgerly; brothers, Wendell (Loretta) Wilkie, James (Linda) Wilkie and Douglas Wilkie; sisters-in-law, Sharilyn Wilkie, Judy Wilkie, Janet Wilkie and Pam Wilkie; a brother-in-law, James Sabo; and many nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her husband and her parents, Lisa was preceded in death by sisters, Donna (Dean) Moeckel, and Carolyn Sabo; brothers, Raymond Wilkie, Edward Wilkie, and Ralph Wilkie; and a brother-in-law, Greg Edgerly.

Lisa’s family will visit with friends at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service from 3:00-7:00 PM Thursday, July 6, 2023.  Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 10:00 AM Friday, July 7, 2023.
