E. Ralph Godmar

Ervin Ralph Godmar, 82 of Alanson and formerly of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, May 21, 2022 at home. Born September 7, 1939 in Bay City, he was the son of Ervin and Mary (Woods) Godmar. 

For over 50 years, Ervin owned and operated 5 pharmacies. Godmar Rexall Drugs in Farmington was downtown for several years in the 1960’s and 1970’s. He enjoyed boating, old movies, maintaining his lawn and learning about history. He was a friend of Bill W for 41 years.

He is survived by his five children, Ralph (Carol) Godmar of Johannesburg, Cathy (Charles) Henson of Florida., Paul Godmar of Traverse City, Mike Godmar of Traverse City and Heather Godmar and fiancé Cam of Petoskey; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

A memorial service will take place 1:00 PM Monday, June 20, 2022 at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service where the family will visit with friends beginning at 11:00 AM.
