Freddie Sackrider, 90 of Wolverine, passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Wolverine on September 7, 1932, growing up on the family homestead and moving downstate as an adult seeking employment and raising his family.

Freddie retired from Consumers Energy, as a supervisor, of Sub-Station Repair and Electrical. He was an auxiliary Policeman and Firefighter for the city of Zilwaukee, MI., serving for decades. He continued to stay busy helping family and friends in their time of need. Fred was an avid hunter and enjoyed fishing and camping with family and friends. He was happiest working outside in his garage and building projects. Spending time with the grandchildren and making people laugh always made him happy. Meeting his coffee buddies at the break of dawn in whatever town he was in including, Zilwaukee, Bay City, Rose City, Houghton Lake, Birch Run and Wolverine or wherever his travels took him.

He is survived by wife of 18 years, Sharon (Anderson) Sackrider; children, Gloria (Greg) Smith, Tammy (Steve) Ralston, Trina (Richard) Belger, Doug (Sharon) Adamczyk, Greg (Wendy) Adamczyk, James (William) Doyle and Mary Lou Vandenhoek; grandchildren, Carrie, Steve III, Freddy Jr., Ryan, Kelsey, Troy, Travis, Amanda, Stephanie, Jillian, Trevor, Kyle, Ashley, Austin; many great grandchildren, special nieces and nephews and his dog, Daisy was his constant companion traveling everywhere and snuggling in his lap.  He was predeceased by his son Fredric Lyle.
