Hector R. Bourrie

Hector “Hecnerd” Richard Bourrie, age 43, of Pellston, passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2023, at this home. He was born on March 17, 1980, in Petoskey, MI, the son of Kim Beckett and Timothy Bourrie. He attended Alanson Littlefield High School and Petoskey Public Schools. On September 3rd, 2003, Hector and Tonya Bourrie (Boettger) bought their home thereby beginning their lives together. On May 13, 2022, Hecnerd (finally) married the love of his life. He owned Blue Bay Tile LLC in Pellston, Michigan and loved every part of his work. Hector loved his family, fast cars — specifically his Limited Edition 2018 Camaro ZL1-1LE. He loved cooking for his family (crab legs were his favorite); being outdoors and camping, especially with the Camp Sanchez Crew (even though he hated bugs and as being a redhead was nearly allergic to the sun); he loved his friends, their partnerships, and their time together. In addition to his wife and mother, Hector is survived by his children, Aaliyah A. Bourrie, Tristan R. Bourrie, Hailie J. Boettger, Lilliana P. Bourrie, his granddaughter Nyla J. Welham, his sister Heather R. Bourrie (Josh Stauffer), his brother Christopher Bourrie and his maternal grandmother Leone M. Beckett. He was preceded in death by his father, his paternal grandparents, Richard H. Bourrie and Joyce P. Bourrie, and his maternal grandfather Lester E. Beckett. A celebration of life will be held on September 16th, 2023, from 12:00pm – 4:00pm. The address is 8124 S. Ayr Road Alanson, MI 49706. The family requests in lieu of flowers, donations kindly be made directly to Tonya using Venmo: (@Tonya-Boettger using the last four digits of 9319).
