Helen Reaume Crombe

Helen Reaume Crombe, 100 of Petoskey, passed away surrounded by loved ones at her home on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Helen was born on August 24, 1925, in St. Paul, Minnesota, to Hector and Grace Reaume.  

A dedicated mother and accomplished realtor, Helen leaves behind cherished memories with her son Ralph (Margaret) Pagnucco, daughter Tina (Robert Thornbladh) Pagnucco, as well as her beloved grandchildren, Ian Zastrow, Jacob (Monica) Zastrow, Melissa Wallace, and Nick Pagnucco; and three great grandchildren; and Step-son-in-law, Larry Rapp.

Helen's passion for service was evident throughout her life. She served on several boards including the Sabal Palm Garden Club and the Sea Grape Chapter of the Embroiders Guild of America. Her volunteer work for the Ronald McDonald House and her dedication to knitting baby and chemo caps for Gulf Coast Hospital for over twenty years showcased her caring spirit and commitment to her community.  

In her professional life, Helen was a trailblazer in the real estate industry. She purchased Flood Realty in Allen Park, MI, and expanded it into Southshore-Flood Realty, with three additional offices in the Detroit suburbs. After taking early retirement in 1987, she relocated to Fort Myers, FL, where she continued her career as a realtor on Sanibel Island. In 1990, she married James Crombe, and together they became active members of the Fort Myers Congregation Church.Helen's vibrant spirit and passion for life will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her. Her incredible legacy of service, love, and dedication lives on in her family and the many lives she touched throughout her remarkable journey.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, James; and her parents, Hector and Grace Reaume. The family would like to send their gratitude to McLaren Hospice for their generous and kind care of Helen.
