Ina Jean Fox, 85 of Johannesburg, passed away peacefully at home on Friday, May 17, 2024, with her children and great niece, Danielle Kinney at her side.

Born in Johannesburg on January 24, 1939, Ina Jean was the daughter of Robert Bruce and Albertha Fay (Reusch) Campbell.  A lifelong area resident, Ina Jean was a 1957 graduate of Johannesburg Central High School.

After graduation, she went to work at the Lewiston State Bank as a teller, ultimately achieving the position of Vice President and manager of the bank’s Atlanta branch. While at the bank, Ina also worked as a Saturday clerk at the U.S. Post Office in Lewiston.  After 27 years with the bank, she retired from that position and became Postmaster of the U.S. Post office in Johannesburg, serving a total of 32 years for the U.S. Postal Service before her retirement.

On August 19, 1967, Ina Jean was wed to another lifelong Johannesburg resident, Dale W. Fox.  They made their home in Johannesburg and raised their two children, Eric Storm and Becky.

Ina Jean successfully balanced being a dedicated career woman, wife, and mother.  Dale and Ina Jean enjoyed camping and fishing with their young family as well as snowmobiling, bowling and pontoon boat rides with their many friends. She and Dale were active in their community in several ways, including many years of service to the Johannesburg 4th of July Fireworks Committee. In her spare time, Ina Jean enjoyed traveling, playing Euchre, and visiting casinos.  Ina Jean placed great value in her relationships with many lifelong friends and was always there to lend a helping hand.
