Joseph Edward Smilowski

Joseph Edward Smilowski, born on December 5, 1945, in Grayling, Michigan, passed away peacefully on December 30, 2025, at the age of 80.

Joe was a devoted family man, a dedicated construction professional with expertise in heavy machinery, and a proud Vietnam War veteran. His life was defined by hard work, respect, perseverance, and service-to both his country and his family. Known for his strong work ethic and quiet determination, he took great pride in providing for those he loved.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Dorothy Smilowski, who stood by his side through every chapter of life. Joe was a proud and loving father to his children, Dawn (Smilowski) Kasab, Jason Smilowski, and Travis Smilowski. He was also a beloved grandfather to six grandchildren, who brought him great joy, and who will carry forward the values he instilled-kindness, loyalty, and the importance of hard work.

Joe will be remembered not only for his years in the construction industry and his honorable service during the Vietnam War, but above all for the love he gave to his family and those around him. His legacy of strength, devotion, and integrity will live on in the hearts of those who knew him.

In accordance with Joe's wishes, no services will be held at this time. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
