Josephine Marie Moore, born on January 31, 1941, in Brown City, MI, passed away on January 10, 2026, in Gaylord, MI, at the age of 84 due to natural causes.
Growing up in Imlay City, Josephine, fondly known as Grandma Jo, was known as the "Queen of the Roller Rink" during her teenage years. She had a vibrant spirit that made every outing a fun-filled adventure. Throughout her life, she worked in various jobs, including positions at Grant Airmass, Gateway Resturant, McDonald's, and A&W, often as an assembly worker or waitress, always bringing her friendly smile and hard work to the table.
Jo loved bowling and was a regular at bingo nights, where you could often find her surrounded by friends sharing laughter and excitement over a game. Josephine found great joy in seeing all the cousins, nieces and nephews at the yearly family reunion in Brown City. One of her favorite pastimes was taking rides in the country, where she enjoyed the simple pleasure of searching for deer with loved ones and stopping at the local ice cream shop on the way home.
She is survived by her beloved children: daughter Sharon(Kevin) Kassuba, sons Gary Aisthorpe, Patrick Aisthorpe and daughter Melisa Sehl. Sister in law Penny Ryckman, 13 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren.
Jo cherished her time spent with family and friends. She loved being Grandma Jo to the whole community and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Josephine was preceded in death by: Her parents Ralph and Doris Burgess, husband John Moore, siblings Ralph, Glenn, Janet, and Francis. Son in laws Timothy Morey and Edward Sehl, Nephew James Miller and her special boy, great grandson Bo Ormsbee,
