Josephine M. Neubecker

Josephine Marjorie Neubecker, 90, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Friday February 24, 2023.  She was born on January 4, 1933, to Glen and Louise Bailey in West Branch Michigan.  Jo married LaVern “Cork” Neubecker on March 31, 1951.

Cork and Jo lived most of their career years in the Fenton area and retired to their birth town of West Branch on March 17, 1989.  They traveled to all of the 48 continental US states and spent 15 winters at their 2nd home in Florida.   Jo’s hobbies included shopping, sewing, reading, cooking and spoiling her grandchildren.

Jo is survived by her daughter Janet (Michael) Ruegsegger, her son Daniel (Kimberly) Neubecker, her grandchildren Keri (Jeremy) Belding, Chad (Steven Kauffman) Ruegsegger, Sara (Keith) McVannel, Christie (Adam) Hamel and Laura (Jacob) Kubisz and 11 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren. 

She is preceded in death by her loving husband Cork, her parents, her beloved sister Maxine Dann and her great grandson Julian.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 4, 2023, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Klacking Creek, 402 W. Peters Road, West Branch, MI where visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be at St. Joseph Cemetery in West Branch.  Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in her memory to Compassus Hospice, 12480 State St, Ste 10, Atlanta, MI  49709.
