Janice Ann Sloan

Janice Ann Sloan, 82 of Johannesburg, passed away Saturday, July 30, 2022 at Spectrum Health, Meijer Heart Center in Grand Rapids.

Born in Holly, Michigan on March 1, 1940, she was the daughter of Lee and Elsie (Bamber) Weaver.  On July 1, 1961, Janice was married in Flint to Jimmie F. Sloan.

They lived in Grand Blanc where they raised their family, later moving to Johannesburg when Jimmie retired in 1993.

Janice enjoyed fishing, painting and playing bingo.  She and Jimmie enjoyed traveling together around the U.S.

In addition to her husband, Jimmie, she is survived by a son, James A. “Al” Sloan of Johannesburg; a granddaughter, Brandy (Matt) Griffith; a great granddaughter, Abby; a sister, Nancy (Dennis) Hall of Mississippi; a brother, Philip (Marilyn) Weaver of Oregon and their families.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Theresa Sloan and a sister, Sally.

A family memorial gathering will be held and burial will be at Evergreen Cemetery in Grand Blanc.
