Judith Ann Loll, 81 of Gaylord, passed away at home on Monday, October 3, 2022.
Born on July 7, 1941, in New Lexington, Ohio, she was the daughter of Robert and Edith (Birkhimer) Guy. Judy grew up there and graduated from New Lexington High School in 1959.
On September 19, 1959, she married Gerald “Jerry” Loll in Roseville, Ohio. They raised their family in Gaylord, Big Rapids and Tawas City, before settling back in Gaylord in 1983. Having worked in banking in other communities, Judy joined First National Bank in Gaylord, where she started as a teller. After several promotions over her career that spanned more than 20 years, she retired as vice president of customer service.
She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church in Gaylord and always active in the community including her work as a volunteer with the Otsego County Food Pantry and Gaylord Crop Walk. Judy enjoyed traveling, gardening and cooking. Many will remember her for the caring, motherly way she had toward others.
Judy was preceded in death by Jerry, her husband of 61 years, on April 2, 2021. She is survived by a daughter, Shelia (Charles) Steeno of Tucson, AZ; a son, Gordon Loll of Dexter, MI; grandchildren, Christopher (Stephanie), Elizabeth (Scott), Gerald (Rebecca), Nolan and Sawyer; and great grandchildren, Nicholas, Grace, Haylie, Leah, Olivia, Benjamin and Autumn. She was also preceded in death by her parents.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, October 15, 2022, at Peace Lutheran Church where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in Judy’s memory to the church at P.O. Box 1153, Gaylord, MI 49734.
