Judy was a bright spot and immense source of love in the lives of all her family from her oldest child to her youngest great grandchild. This love was always extended to the whole of our family, aunts, uncles, and cousins. Judy embodied love and was an amazing example of how to live a life full of joy and wonder. To many of her friends she was known as "Dixie". Anyone who knew her was blessed by her friendly, gentle spirit and delightful sense of humor.
Some of Judy's favorite pastimes were painting, drawing, playing and bottle hunting with her grandchildren, and sewing. She loved cooking for and entertaining large groups, and cooked delicious Southern Cuisine for her family.
Mom, you are greatly missed - but you left us with a tremendous legacy of love and joy. We know that you were welcomed into the kingdom with the words, "Well done, thou good and faithful servant!"
A memorial service will be held on a future date yet to be determined. Those wishing to express their sympathy are encouraged to donate to the American Cancer Society.
