Karen Francis Ryda

Karen Francis Ryda, born on April 24, 1954, in Trenton, MI, passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, in Grayling, MI, at the age of 71. She was surrounded by her loving family during her final moments.

Karen dedicated her life to being a wife and a mother, finding joy in every moment spent with her daughters, Shanin Medina and Shelly Ryda. She was a proud grandmother to Ashley Medina and Nevaeh Finch, who brought endless smiles and laughter into her life. Her sisters, Jackie Drobek and Tina Walker, shared countless memories filled with love and laughter.

An avid gardener, Karen had a deep appreciation for nature and spent countless hours tending to her plants and feeding the birds. Birdwatching was one of her favorite pastimes, and she could often be found quietly observing the beauty around her. Crafting was another passion, and she loved creating beautiful pieces, sharing her talents with family and friends.

Karen was preceded in death by her parents, John Robson, and Betty (Morris) Sigman.

Karen will be deeply missed by all who knew her, leaving behind a legacy of love and warmth.
