Katherine A. Baumer

Katherine A. “Kathy” Baumer, 57, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully at home after a lengthy illness on Friday, August 19, 2022.

Kathy was cared for during her battle with cancer by her husband Terry and sister – Julie Marcotte. We would like to thank

Hospice of Michigan, especially Brittney Harwood, RN. Kathy was surrounded by the love of family in her passing.

Born in Detroit on May 10, 1965, Kathy was the daughter of Ken & Sharon Maly. She was a 1983 graduate of Hartland High School. She was a past resident of Clare, Saginaw, and Las Vegas. Kathy loved family, friends, kids & dogs, all of which brought out the most contagious laughter capable of lighting up a room.

Surviving are her husband, Terry Baumer of Lewiston; children, Rachel (Chris) Shoemaker of Wayland, Chris Cooper of Wayland; grandchildren, Kinsley and Seth; parents, Ken & Sharon of Lewiston; siblings, Ken (Wendy) of Fenton, Julie (Marty Klapec) of Frederic, Eric (Sylvia) of Traverse City, Tim (Becky) of Fenton; and many

nieces and nephews.

Visitation - Friday August 26, 2022 from 6-8p.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Lewiston.
Service - Saturday August 27, 2022 11:00 a.m. with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. also at the church. A luncheon will follow in the parish hall.
