Kenneth M. Young

Kenneth Marion Young, 68 of Pellston, MI passed away unexpectedly on January 10, 2026, at his home. He was born on December 23, 1957 to Keith and Peggy (Hopkins) Young of Harbor Springs. He attended Harbor Springs Schools, graduating in 1976. He enlisted in the Army straight out of high school and was stationed in Germany before being Honorably Discharged in 1978.

On August 21, 1982 he married SheliAnn (Sikora) Young on Pickerel Lake. He lived a full life as an owner/operator in the trucking industry traveling the country and lived in many cities across Texas, Michigan and Florida.

Kenneth is survived by his beloved wife SheliAnn Justine Young, and his children: Sarah Griffith, Keith Ducaine (Lindsey) Young, Tara Racine Young, Kenny Lee (Steffany) Young, Zak Marion (Yarrow) Young, and Logan Tyler (Haley) Young. Kenneth was a proud grandfather to his grandchildren Damian, Laith, Calum, Owen Andrew, Liam Tucker, Myles Lee, Brooks Marion-Michael, Sutton Adele, Zander William, Kai Kenneth, and Greyson Malcom. He leaves behind his siblings Lois VanTol, Linda Eaton, Dennis Young, and Terry (Sarah) Young, along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, life long friends, and bonus kids Ricky J. and Dave E. and anyone needing a place to call home.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Keith and Peggy Young, granddaughter Willow Mae Justine Young, siblings Jeffrey Young and Laurie Luebke, and brother-in-law Thomas Eaton.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, January 24, 2026, at the LTBB Government Center: 7500 Odawa Circle Harbor Springs, MI from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM. Well wishes may be directed to Sheli Young at 850 N. Center Ave. Gaylord, Michigan 49735.
