Lacey Ranee Churches

Lacey Ranee Churches, 32 of Gaylord, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, April 15, 2024

Born in Gaylord on December 21, 1991, she is the daughter of Gary and Donna (Robinson) Churches.  She spent her life in Vanderbilt and Gaylord.

Lacey enjoyed camping, fishing, trips to the upper peninsula, and cooking.  She loved her family and spending time with them at family gatherings.  Her greatest joy and her priority were her four sons.   She cherished spending time with them, creating memories, including their annual trips to Mackinac Island.  Her family and friends all know of her love of Christmas; each year the decorations went up right after Halloween, and remained up throughout the winter.

Lacey is survived by her four sons, Jayce Lee, Liam Mitchell, Rylie James and Mason Levi Churches; her boyfriend, Josh Kilbourne; her parents, Gary and Donna Churches; sisters, Stacey (Brad) Cottrell, and Maryann Wolters; brothers, Gary (Allison) Churches Jr, and Timothy (Elizabeth) Churches; several nieces and nephews; and her maternal grandfather, J.T. Robinson.  

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Donald and Shirley Churches; maternal grandmother, Mary Robinson; and an uncle, Russell Robinson.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Gaylord E-Free Church, where the family will gather with friends beginning at 10:00 AM.  Interment will be at Evergreen Hill Cemetery in Vanderbilt.
