Larry A. Schlak

Larry Schlak, 73 years of age, grew up in Hillman, Michigan on Edgar Rd. He was born to Otto and Marjorie Schlak in Rogers City, Michigan on January 25, 1952, as one of nine children.

Larry enlisted in the Army and served from 1972-1982. After getting out of the army he went to college to be a CPA but never finished his degree. He worked at Sault Plastics for many years and then as a cab driver.

After retirement he lived in Gaylord at the Alten Zimmer Senior Center where he passed away. Larry enjoyed playing games on his computer, feeding stray cats, and visiting with his neighbors.

He is survived by a brother, Dennis Schlak (Diane) of Gaylord; sisters, Lois Miles of Saginaw, Linda Dice (Russell) of Hillman, and Brenda (John) Schlak of Inverness, Florida; sisters-in-law, Diane Schlak, and Grace Schlak of Frankfort; and brother-in-law, John Barrie of Flint.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Bill Schlak of Frankfort; sisters, Cheryl Barrie of Flint, and Christine and Cliff Jarvis of Florida; a brother Kevin Schlak of Hillman, Michigan, and a brother-in-law, Daniel Miles of Pinconning.

A memorial service will be planned for Larry in Hillman, Michigan in the spring where he grew up.
