Leah Marie Lounsberry

Leah Marie Lounsberry, 55, of Gaylord, fought her final battle with courage, dignity, and grace. She went to be with our lord and savior on April 1st, 2026. Born the baby of the family on November 11th, 1970, to Clifford and Dorothy Goddard.

While she may have had health conditions that caused some limitations, it never stopped her from enjoying her life to the fullest. Enjoying everything life had to offer, from the smallest to the largest. She was always smiling.

She was a special soul, a heart of gold which she wore on her sleeve. Always helping everyone in need. Leah was often known to put others' needs before her own. She had a passion for everything creative, painting was her favorite. She was a very talented cook and baker. When she was in the kitchen she was on top of the world.

She was preceded in death by her mother Dorothy, her father Clifford, and her step father Leon, grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends.

She leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth within her family's hearts. She left behind 4 loving siblings Fred (Barb) Goddard of Massachusetts, Adam Goddard of Vanderbilt, Amenia(Bob) Lauth of Gibraltar and Clifford (Kristen) Goddard of Canton. She also left behind her daughter, Megan(Tony) Perkins.

Though she did not have any grandchildren of her own she was a surrogate grandmother to many. She did have 2 grandcat’s, Pickles and Chewy.

She was saved recently and gave herself to the lord. She was a devout Christian until her final moments.

Anyone who knew Leah, will miss her, her ability to make anyone laugh and her sense of humor. Boy did she have a sense of humor. Leah was one of a kind. A very special and beautiful soul.

The family would like to send their gratitude to Father Murray, a villa center in Center Line, Michigan. They made her last days comfortable.

Her family will have a gathering at a later date.
