Linda Kay Cole, 64 of Vanderbilt, passed away Sunday, February 6, 2022 at Munson Healthcare Otsego Memorial Hospital in Gaylord.

 

Born on May 28, 1957, Linda Kay Hill was born to Lenora Hill in Flint Michigan. Linda graduated from Vanderbilt High School as class Valedictorian in 1975 and married the love of her life Randy D. Cole on June 28, 1975. Linda and Randy have 2 sons Dale (Tina) and David (Kari).

 

Linda will be remembered for serving on the Vanderbilt School board and as the Vanderbilt Village President, for her work as the Vanderbilt Librarian and her years of service working at the Otsego County Library in Gaylord.

 

Linda was most known for her big heart and her love of family and friends, for being a great cook, for her work as a Girl Scout Leader, and for always lending a helping hand. 

Linda loved reading, enjoyed family vacations camping, traveling to Myrtle beach and Florida.

 

Linda was preceded in death by her twin brother, Art; her mother, Lenora Hill-Newell; and her mother-in-law, Jean Green-Cole.

 

Linda is survived by her husband, Randy; their two sons, Dale (Tina) and David (Kari); her grandchildren, Heidi, Courtney, Brittany, Cody, Brad and Brooklyn, Faith, Charity, and McKenna; great grandchildren, Bryson, Asher and Gwendolyn; sister Roberta (Juan) Martinez; brothers, Ron (Kim) Hill, Jim Newell and Ken (Cathy) Newell; father-in-law, Berny Cole; sister-in-law Sally (Phil) Williams; brothers-in-law Terry (Kathy) Cole and Rick (Marilyn) Cole; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
