Linda Lee Felton

Linda Lee Felton, 82, of Boyne City, Michigan passed away surrounded by her family on April 22, 2026. Linda was defined by her vibrant spirit, her dedication to the Boyne City community, and her unwavering love for family. She leaves behind a legacy of warmth and laughter and lived her life with purpose and a true commitment to others.

Born on September 14, 1943, in Flint, Michigan, daughter of Fay Alfred Limron and Marguerite (Jean) MacLean. Linda grew up surrounded by her three sisters. She enjoyed playing sports throughout high school and connecting with friends. She pursued her passion for learning at Central Michigan University, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Education in 1966.

On November 18, 1967, she married the love of her life, James A. Felton. Their 58 years of marriage was a testament to partnership and enduring affection. In 1970, after the birth of their son Mark, they moved to Boyne City, the community they would call home for over five decades. Linda became a stay at home mother after their daughter Michelle was born in 1972. Linda substitute taught in many classrooms, and drove the local school bus routes when needed for some time.

While Linda began her career shaping young minds in the classroom, she eventually brought her sharp wit and people skills to the world of real estate. As a successful Realtor for Ski and Shore, Century 21 and REMAX, Linda didn't just sell houses; she helped people find homes. She was highly respected for her professionalism and her innate ability to connect with everyone she met.

Linda was truly at her happiest when surrounded by nature or a crowd of loved ones. She found great joy and comfort by spending time with her children and grandchildren. Whether she was camping with family and friends, or hosting one of her gatherings, she was known for creating an atmosphere of "good times." She loved to cook for lots of people and was the first to take a casserole or a warm meal to anyone in the community that was in need. Her home was a hub of hospitality, filled with friends, family, and the kind of laughter that stays with you for many years to come. Linda was surrounded by numerous memories and fun filled times over the years.

Linda's greatest pride was her family. She is survived by her husband, James A. Felton of Boyne City, Her children: Son Mark (Tina) Felton, of Boyne City and Daughter Michelle (Todd) Gorney, of Harbor Springs, Sisters Diane (Len) Nowak, of Indian River, Judy (Steve) Travis, of Colorado Springs, Her grandchildren: Logan Felton, Morgyn Felton, Lorin Burch, and Molly (Tanner) Norton, Savannah Gorney and Madison Gorney.
