Marie M. Wojtkowiak

Marie M. Wojtkowiak, 90 of Gaylord, passed away Saturday, July 19, 2025, at August Haus. Born August 11, 1934, in Gaylord, the daughter of Clement and Regina (Kwapis) Kujawa.

On August 27, 1955, at St. Mary Cathedral, Marie married the love of her life, Richard. They created a beautiful life together. She was a proud stay at home mom, raising three children. Once the kids were older, she worked in Gaylord at the commercial laundry mat and APS. She and Richard enjoyed polka and square dancing, going on walks, traveling while collecting shot glasses along the way. She enjoyed being a part of the Red Hats Society, meeting special friends along the way. Always had a puzzle going, loved being at home. She was an active parishioner at St. Mary Cathedral for many years.

She is survived by three children, Casimer (Sharon) Wojtkowiak of Gaylord, Kenneth Wojtkowiak of Johannesburg and Karen (Robert) Westphal of Gaylord; five grandchildren, Jill, Emily, Beth-Ann, Nicholas and Kaitlynn; six great-grandchildren, Lance, Dane, Rita-Marie, Blaise, Margaret and Ambrose; her brothers and sister, Clement Kujawa, Stanley (Kay) Kujawa and Roseann Kujawa; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; parents, Clement and Regina Kujawa; her granddaughter, Amy Peters; her sister, Ruth Renkiewicz and sister-in-law, Betty Kujawa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 11:00 AM Monday, July 28, 2025, at St. Mary Cathedral, where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will take at Resurrection Cemetery at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Otsego County Food Pantry or to August Haus Assisted Living.
