Martin Kenneth Mol, 89 of Carp Lake, passed away at home on Saturday, July 20, 2019.
Born in Muncie, Kansas on June 28, 1930, he was the son of Peter and Jennie (Kiliszewski) Mol.
On September 8, 1951, Marty married Germaine C. Koprowski in Grand Rapids. After retiring, Marty and Gerry moved to their Carp Lake home on Lake Michigan where they had been vacationing with their family since 1959.
Marty enjoyed treasure hunting, camping, boating and traveling. He also enjoyed the fellowship of his friends in the men’s club at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mackinaw City.
Marty is survived by Gerry, his wife of almost 68 years; his children, Charmaine (Virgil) Huston of Cedar Springs, Patricia (Randy Herp) Mol of Greenville; Mary (Joseph) Achenbach of Elizabeth, CO and Peter (Jennie Nguyen) Mol of Wyoming, MI; a daughter-in-law, Debbie Mol of Rockwell, TX; seven grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Beatrice Nitzel and a son, Pastor Alan M. Mol.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, July 27, 2019 at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Mackinaw City where the family will visit with friends beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Grand Rapids. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions to his family for future designation.
