Marvin Albert "Skip" Roberts, Jr.

Marvin (Skip) Roberts, Jr., age 73, passed away peacefully in Boyne City, Michigan, on April 10, 2026, surrounded by his loving wife Sharon, and two daughters Nikki and April, leaving behind a legacy of strength, love, and unwavering guidance.

Born in 1952, Skip was the son of Marvin Roberts, Sr. and Marilyn Roberts. From an early age, he carried a strong will and a natural ability to lead-qualities that would define the way he lived his life and the way he cared for those around him.

Skip was a man people leaned on. He was strong in spirit, steady in his convictions, and generous with his time and talents. A true leader, he didn't just guide others-he lifted them. Whether as a husband, father, grandfather, teacher, or friend, Skip had a way of making people feel supported, protected, and understood. His presence was grounding, his words meaningful, and his love constant.

He was the cornerstone of strength and unwavering loyalty to his family, friends, and others in the community. Known for his relentless work ethic and unyielding desire to help make the lives of everyone around him better, he dedicated his life to providing for his loved ones, often sacrificing his own comfort to ensure theirs.

Above all, Skip was devoted to his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Roberts, who stood by his side through life's journey; his daughter, Nikki Roberts; his daughter and son-in-law, April and Colin Carr; and his treasured grandchildren, Carter and Layla Carr, who brought him immense pride and joy. The love he had for his family was deep and unwavering, and it will continue to live on through each of them.

Skip's life was not measured in titles or achievements, but in the lives he shaped, the lessons he shared, and the love he gave so freely. He leaves behind a space that cannot be filled, but also a legacy that cannot be taken away.

Though he is no longer with us, Skip's strength, guidance, and love will remain a part of all who knew him. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
