Maryann Boike, 93 of Gaylord, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2024, at home.
Born in Flint, Michigan on September 21, 1931, she was the daughter of Michael and Mary (Sekora) Ruhala.
Maryann devoted her life to helping and nurturing others as a registered nurse, but especially as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Among the many ways she cared for others was her love of cooking.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Martin, on May 21, 2016. Surviving are her sons, Mark and Rose Boike, Dave and Cherie Boike, and Randy and Lisa Boike; grandchildren, DJ and Jen Boike, Angela and Chip Middleton, Jake and Dana Boike, Jeffrey Boike, Drew and Jen Boike, and Kristen Boike; great grandchildren, Gwyn Boike, Ava Boike, Trenton Boike, Boston Boike, Addison Middleton, Cooper Boike, Bella Boike, Emma Middleton, Gabby Boike, Nash Boike, Fischer Boike, Evrenn Boike, and Arroe Boike; a sister-in-law, Marilyn Ruhala; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Donna Ruhala, James and Joanne Ruhala, Gerald and Lavina Ruhala, and Fred Ruhala.
No services are planned at this time and a celebration of her life will be held later.
