Mason Asher Willford Tubbs

Mason Asher Willford Tubbs, a beloved son, brother, grandson, nephew and friend, passed away suddenly on May 15, 2026, at the age of 24. Born on April 12, 2002, Mason's life, though marked by challenges, was defined by his genuine spirit, immense heart, and kindness. Those who knew him remember a young man who was thoughtful, putting others before himself.

A lifelong resident of Gaylord, Mason attended Gaylord High School, where he participated in soccer, basketball, football and track. He was known for his determination, thoughtful nature, and willingness to put others before himself.

Mason had a deep love for animals, especially his cherished dog and loyal companion, Tank. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and found happiness in life's simple moments - playing board and card games, fishing, woodworking, and fixing/restoring old things. He loved being anywhere there was water and nature. Mason also had an entrepreneurial spirit and was always thinking creatively, pursuing new ideas and seeking opportunities.

Mason's life was not without hardship, a battle he fought quietly and courageously. His passing marks a release from pain and suffering, allowing him to rest free and at peace. His resilience and bravery through these struggles remain a testament to his character and strength.

Mason is survived by his mother, Nicole; his step-father, Casey Glazier; his brothers, Karson VanLuchene and Grayson Glazier; his grandparents, Darlene Tubbs, Bonnie & Chuck Hitchings, Oz Glazier, Cheryl and Buck Wilson; aunts and uncles, Michelle (John) Anderson, DJ (Brandy) Tubbs, Alyssa (Jon) Barraw, Travis (Beth) Glazier and Jesse Glazier; special cousins, Pierce, Broker, Caleb, Justin, Jacob, Rowen, Maxwell and Nicholas.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Don Tubbs.

Visitation will take place from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Gaylord Community Funeral Home & Cremation Service, where the funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM. Pastor Scott Distler will officiate.
