Nicholas Matthew Mazur

Nicholas Matthew Mazur, 13 of Gaylord, passed away in Mexico while on spring break vacation with his family on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. He was born July 1, 2008 in Palos Heights, Illinois. 

Nick loved anything to do with sports. His two greatest passions were playing baseball and soccer. He enjoyed playing basketball, snow skiing, water sports and boating.  You could also find him playing on his PS4 with his buddies all the time.  

Nick was blessed with a great group of friends, always the life of the party! He was strong in his academics and could tell you any fact about sports in general.

His eyes and smile were so genuine, they would light up a room.  He was best friends with his little brother Noah, always tried to protect his big sister Natalie, mom’s twin, and dad’s side kick.

Nick is survived by his loving parents, Matthew and Jennifer; his sister, Natalie; his brother, Noah; maternal grandparents, Joseph and Susan Guse; paternal grandparents, Glen and Lillian Mazur; uncle and Godfather, Daniel (Cho) Mazur and uncle, Adam Mazur; Godmother, MaryLou Habryl; cousin, Wesley Mazur; many aunts, uncles, cousins, special friends and his pup, Tinley.

The family will visit with friends and loved ones from 3:00-7:00 PM on Friday, April 1, 2022 at the Gaylord E-Free Church and again at the church from 1:00-2:00 PM Saturday, April 2, 2022 followed by services at 2:00 PM. Pastor Scott Distler will officiate. Immediately after the service, a luncheon will be at the Ellison Place.
