Pamela Mary Beasinger, 81, of Gaylord, passed away on Saturday July 4, 2026, at McReynolds Hall in Gaylord.
Born October 9, 1944, in Chicago, Illinois, she was the daughter of Gregory and Marguerite (Chandler) McDonough. She grew up in Royal Oak, MI and graduated from Shrine of the Little Flower High School.Pam married the love of her life, Wallace G. Beasinger at the Lutheran Church in Oxford, Michigan on November 29, 1975. They lived their first few years in Oxford before moving to Rochester Hills, where they raised their two daughters.Throughout their life in Rochester Hills, Pam and Wally were members of St. John's Lutheran Church.
Pam worked for over 20 years at Rochester Community Schools as a secretary for the police liaison and in student enrollment. In 2001 Pam and Wally moved to Gaylord where they have been members of Trinity Lutheran Church. Pam worked at United Way and volunteered at the Otsego County Food Pantry.Pam enjoyed family camping trips, loved volunteering at Alpenfest, reading, going to craft shows and listening to the music of Elvis Presley. Her granddaughter fondly remembers "Peeps" working at the sno cone stand and getting free sno cones from her. Her first love though was her family. Becoming a grandmother was a time of joy in her life and she loved spending time with her grandkids. In her last weeks she also learned the joy of meeting her first great grandchild.Travel was another love for Pam - but only by car. No planes or boats for her. She went on many vacations with Kristin's family and she and Wally would travel around Michigan and visit other states that they could get to in a day or two by car.
Pam is survived by Wallace "Wally", her husband of 51 years; her daughters, Tiffany Amsdill of Auburn Hills and Kristin Anderson of Macomb, and Dave Anderson of Auburn Hills; grandchildren, Michael Gabrielle, Steven (Sabrina) Gabrielle, Nolan Anderson, Josh Anderson and Lauren Anderson; her great grandson, Landon Gabrielle; siblings, Peggy (Mike) Craft, Pat Polak, Michael McDonough, Tim (Dee) McDonough, and Karen (Mark) Albrecht, along with several nieces and nephews.
Pam was predeceased by her parents, brother-in-law, Gunther Polak and sister-in-law, Patty McDonough.
