Patricia Ann Grocock, 86, a longtime Gaylord resident, died on Wednesday, October 9, 2013, at Tendercare of Gaylord. Born on February 20, 1927, in Highland Park, Ann was the daughter of Keith and Beulah (Baldwin) Glassley. On May 5, 1953, she married Ernest Grocock in Royal Oak. They left Ann Arbor in 1964 and moved to Gaylord with their young family. Ann was a longtime seamstress in Gaylord. Always active in her community, she was a member of Gaylord First United Methodist Church, Otsego Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and RSVP. Ann is survived by Ernie, her husband of 60 years; a son, Mike (Anne) Grocock of Birmingham; daughters, Jan (Rob) Thompson of Oberlin, OH, and Cindy FitzGerald of Gaylord; grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth), Nick, Chris (Heather), Brittany; Paul (Katie), Ben (Chrissy), Cassie, Alyssa & McKenzie; and sisters, Janet Deneen and Marian Glassley, both of Gaylord. Memorial services for Ann will be held Saturday, October 19, 2013, at Gaylord First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Naile officiating. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 a.m., with the service following at 11:30. Memorial contributions may be made to the OMH Auxiliary or the Otsego County Animal Shelter. Arrangements are by Gaylord Community Funeral Home, 850 North Center Avenue.
