Patricia Ann Prusakiewicz, 86 of Gaylord, passed away at Medilodge of Gaylord on Monday, September 12, 2022.
Born in Saginaw, Michigan on May 30, 1936, she was the daughter of Julian and Cecelia (Basinski) Koblinski.
On November 10, 1956, Patricia married Edmund Prusakiewicz at St. Mary Cathedral in Gaylord. They raised their family and made their home in Gaylord where Pat helped Edmund in his construction business as its bookkeeper.
Pat was a devoted wife, mother, and later grandmother and great grandmother. She was devoted to her Catholic faith and her parish, St. Mary Cathedral. Pat enjoyed family time, boating, camping, and trips in their motorhome. She enjoyed feeding the birds around their home and Sunday trips in the car that usually included a stop at Shrine in the Woods in Indian River. Pat also loved dogs, especially her Pomeranians, Tammy and Dolly.
In 2010, Pat was preceded in death by Edmund, her husband of 54 years. She is survived by her children, Rose (Arnold) Higley of Gould City, Kathy (Terry) Avenall of Gaylord, Ronald (Christine Walton) Prusakiewicz of Alden, Kenneth Prusakiewicz of Society Hill, SC and Patrick (Becky) Prusakiewicz of Irmo, SC; grandchildren, Amanda (Brian) Arp, Natasha (Travis) Commeau, Sylvester Glen (Danielle) Higley III, Sarah (Rick) Hite, Chad Higley, Shannon (Steve) Hughes, Megan (Kirk Graham) Avenall, Lucas Avenall, Trevor Prusakiewicz, Gage Prusakiewicz, Brett Perkins, and Kylie Perkins; great grandchildren, Cole, Brandt, Jaden, Carter, Brooks, Jozie, Addyson, Mikaela, and Isaiah; sisters, Lucille Dunn, Genny Allen, and Dorothy (Joe) Smilowski; brothers, Victor Koblinski, Gerald Koblinski, and Julian (Chris) Koblinski; brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald (Sandy) Prusakiewicz, Jeanette Prusakiewicz, and Betty (Donald) Nester; and many nieces, nephews and their families.
In addition to her parents and her husband, Edmund, she was preceded in death by a brother, Sylvester Koblinski; and brothers and sisters-in-law, Bernard Prusakiewicz, and Eleanor and Ed Kuras.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 1:30 PM Friday, September 30, 2022, at St. Mary Cathedral where visitation with the family will begin at 12:00 Noon. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Those who wish are asked to consider memorial contributions in Pat’s memory to St. Mary Cathedral or the Otsego County Animal Shelter.
